In order to achieve an enduring end to poverty and its corresponding ills, education must play a vital role.  However, even when there are school systems in place, too often, myriad obstacles stand in the way of underserved populations actually benefiting from those systems.  Problems of transportation, finances, the need for childcare for younger siblings, or simply the effects of years of a lack of emphasis on the importance of schooling can keep children from taking full advantage of the opportunities that do exist.

Our partners are local charities around the world, dedicated to improving the lives of single mothers and their children through increased access to education.  While each of these organizations uses different methodologies to achieve this end, responding to the specific needs of the populations they serve, they are common in their philosophy that without education there can be no hope of creating lasting change in these communities.  It is our mission to help them succeed in this crucial work – to make sure that each child we serve has the chance to finish school in order to live up to the potential of becoming an independent, contributing member of the community.
